TheRealReal:
tips + Tricks

TheRealReal is my holy grail for being able to wear brands that I love on a budget. Second hand is definitely the way to go!! So, I wanted to share how I navigate their enormous inventory.

I think my favorite phrase to say is "And guess how much I paid for it?"

How To:

Go brand by brand

Don't overwhelm yourself with the hundreds of designers they carry. Start by filtering by one or just a few designers. If you know you're not in the market to be buying chanel or gucci (lol me) then don't waste your time. Sometimes it is fun to see all the pretty things though!

Specifics!

If you're looking for something specific, filter it. I've learned not to spend hours going through everything when I know I can look specifically at gowns, mini dresses, or pants individually. ALSO! (might seem self-explanatory but) weed out pieces that are in 'as is' or 'fair' condition. TRR is very thorough in their inspections so usually pieces that are anywhere from 'good' to 'pristine' are your best bet. Just always read the details.

Price low to high

My favorite button. I usually skip through the super cheap stuff just because I know it is all from many many seasons ago or is not in good condition. But don't quote me on that -- there are some gems!!!

My 'obsessions' on
trr right now

A lot of this goes for any resale site -- but I just love the RealReal so much.

I hope y'all find something you love too!
